Join the Vararuchi Android beta
The Vararuchi Android app is in closed testing on Google Play. Testers get it before its public release, free, and help decide what gets fixed before launch.
What you need
- An Android phone with the Google Play Store.
- The Google account (Gmail address) that phone's Play Store uses.
- If you're under 18, a parent's OK to join.
How to join
-
Send me your Google account's email address. I add testers to the test by hand, and I'll reply when you're in.
Email my address No email app? Write to admin@vararuchi.com with the subject "Android beta". -
Once I've replied, accept the invitation. Open the tester link on your phone, sign in with the same Google account, and tap Become a tester. Until you've been added, the link shows an error.
Open the tester link -
Install Vararuchi from Google Play. If you already have an older testing version, update it.

What to test
Please don't just open the app and close it. Use it the way a student would, for real work, and try as much of this list as you can.
The tools
- Knowledge Mastery, including uploading your own notes or a PDF
- OmniMath
- Photo Solver, with the camera and with a photo from your gallery
- Language AI, including speaking and listening
- AI Career Coach
- Exam Mode
- Progress Hub
- AI Assist, the helper button on most screens
Around the app
- Signing in with Google
- Home, and moving between screens
- The phone's Back button
- Holding the phone upright and on its side
- Typing: does the keyboard ever hide what you're typing?
- Sparks (the AI credits) and the pricing screens
- Notifications
- Speed: anything slow, stuck or frozen
Please don't complete a payment. Opening the pricing and subscription screens and checking they look right is useful, but finishing a purchase would charge you real money.
Try the awkward cases too: very long or unusual inputs, going back and forth quickly, different kinds of photos and files, and what happens when something goes wrong.
How to report a problem
Anything counts: a button that does nothing, a screen stuck loading, a crash, a sign-in that fails, an AI error, a photo or file that won't upload, text that's cut off, a screen that looks broken, or something that just doesn't do what you expected.
Tell me:
- What you were trying to do
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- The exact steps to make it happen again
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you can (crop out anything personal)
- Your phone model and Android version
Problem: Photo Solver doesn't process an image.
Steps: Open Photo Solver → upload an image → choose a photo → tap Solve.
Expected: The question is analysed.
Actual: It keeps loading and never finishes.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S23, Android 15.
Please stay for 14 days
Google lets a new app launch publicly only after at least 12 testers have stayed opted in for 14 days in a row. Keeping the app installed and opted in for two weeks is the biggest help you can give. The next biggest is using it and telling me what breaks.
No Android phone? Vararuchi already works in any browser at vararuchi.com, and your progress will carry over to the app later.
