AI Career Coach: from "what next?" to a working plan
The AI Career Coach is Vararuchi's answer to the most common career problem there is: knowing you should be doing something about your future but not knowing what, in which order. It turns career preparation into a concrete, tracked pipeline — explore, plan, build, practise, apply.
The problem it solves
Career advice usually arrives as vague slogans ("network more", "learn to code") with no sequence and no feedback. Meanwhile job searches sprawl across spreadsheets, tabs and memory. The Career Coach puts exploration, planning, preparation and tracking in one place, and measures your progress with a readiness score.
Who it's for
Students choosing a direction, graduates preparing for their first serious applications, and professionals planning a switch who need a structured path from current skills to a target role.

How it works
- Explore roles until one is worth committing to.
- Generate your roadmap — skills to build, projects to complete, milestones on the way to the target role.
- Do the work — the Skills, Projects and Certs tabs track it, and your readiness score updates as evidence accumulates.
- Prepare and apply — practise interviews, refine the resume, and run your applications through the Jobs tracker.
Limitations and responsible use
Career recommendations are guidance based on the information you provide — they are not guarantees of employment, and the readiness score is a planning aid, not a verdict on your worth. Job markets vary by region and change quickly; validate important decisions with people in the field. Never treat AI-generated resume text as finished without reading it critically — it represents you.
Frequently asked questions
What is the readiness score?
The readiness score summarises how prepared you are for your target role based on your roadmap progress — skills developed, projects completed, interview practice and certifications. It exists to turn a vague feeling of "am I ready?" into specific next actions, not to judge you.
Can it track my actual job applications?
Yes. The Jobs tab is an application tracker: log each application, its stage and outcomes, and keep interview notes alongside your preparation work — so your search is organised in the same place you're preparing for it.
Will the AI Career Coach get me a job?
No tool can promise that, and Vararuchi doesn't. What it does is make the controllable parts systematic: a clear roadmap, deliberate skill-building, project evidence, interview practice and an organised search. Career recommendations are guidance to consider, not guarantees.
